Residents of Mount Nyabikenke in Nyamurenza area of Ngozi district have received important advice to stop reclaiming water due to unsanitary conditions in a lake near Kanyaru River.
The Nyamurenza Executive has learned that a comprehensive survey conducted by the Agency burundaise de l’hydrolique et assainissement en milieu rural (AHMR) has paved the way for an upcoming project aimed at improving water quality in the area.
According to the committee spokesperson, the AHMR team has thoroughly examined the site, the plans to build the water supply system are now in final stages and the public can expect construction work to commence in the near future, the official confirmed . . . .
