#1 Kirundo: Court Sentences School Staff for Embezzling Food Supplies
The Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) in Kirundo delivered a judgment on November 27, 2023, convicting three employees of Ecole Fondamentale Gitwenzi of tampering with food prepared for students who were sentenced to five years in prison. They are required to share the responsibility of paying the sum of 9,600,000 Fbu, equal to the value of the misappropriated goods
Three other people involved in the same case were acquitted.

After the man was kidnapped and forced to seek refuge elsewhere that night, the man's family returned the next day and found him dead it will make them aware.
#3 Bubanza Province: "Rema Mwana" Center offer Sanctuary for Abandoned Children
Thirteen of the thirty children currently caring for the "Rema Mwana" center (initiated by the "Bawyeyi Turrere Uburundi" association) in Bubanza District have unknown parents, as they appear to have been abandoned
Since its inception in 2001, the association has already rescued 99 children from orphans, abandoned children and those in vulnerable situations in terms of their rights
Center administrator Tharcille Ndayishimiye urges parents not to abandon their children but if they cannot care for the children, contact centers that specialize in helping children in distress.
#4 Cibitoke Province: Court Sentences Teacher for Assault and Violation
The Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI) rendered a verdict on November 28, 2023, sentencing a teacher of Ecole Fundamental Rusenda to 30 years in prison and a fine of Fbu 5 million for raping a 12-year-old girl, also his domestic worker . . . . A trial originally scheduled for Nov. 11 was postponed. 24 was set aside while the accused sought additional witnesses. However, it was reported that even after the testimony, little help was given to his well-being.
